Father's Friday Update
Feb. 26, 2021| St. Vincent De Paul
Hi there, everyone! Here's Father's Friday Updates for the week ahead"
1) Soup Supper: With the continuing pandemic restrictions we will not be having an in-person Soup Supper as we have in past years. The Soup Supper has been a Lenten tradition at St. Pat's for many years where people are invited to submit questions of faith for Father to answer during a gathering filled with great homemade soups. We had hoped last year to open this up to members of both parish families, but the pandemic had other plans. This year we, once again, can't gather together, so we will instead have a virtual Soup Supper on March 22nd @ 7 pm on Facebook Live. A recorded version will be shared on each parishes YouTube page as well. Baskets will be available at the doors of the Church for you to submit your questions for me to answer on March 22nd @ 7 pm.
2) Called For More: If you have not yet done so, please take a few minutes to complete the Called For More Survey. This is an initiative sponsored by the Diocese & the Catholic Leadership Institute. The survey is designed to help us enhance the pastoral life of the parish & help in our visioning & goals for the future. You can find the survey @
. It shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes to complete.
3) Tuesday Lenten Devotions: If you are on Facebook, I'd invite you to join me on Tuesday's during Lent @ 6 pm for what I'm calling our Tuesday Lenten devotional. This Tuesday we will pray the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. A recorded version of the Rosary should also be shared afterwards on the parish YouTube page.
4) Gift Card Scam: Just a reminder that I will NEVER email/call anyone asking for gift cards for those in need. I have heard from some people who have received emails/texts from me asking for gift cards for cancer patients or something like that. THESE ARE NOT FROM ME. The scammers make it look it's come from me, but the emails/phone numbers are ones that I am not associated with. Please know that I am aware of them & you should just ignore these emails/texts.
Have a great week!
